Family days out suggestions

Doggie days out suggestions
Ocean Centre, Exmouth—Entertainment, Soft play, and Bowling. Dogs are welcome almost anywhere on the ground level, including the restaurant, arcade, and sweetshop.
Donkey Sanctuary – Dogs are welcome on their Exmouth site. They must be always kept on a lead while visiting.
Stuart Line Cruises – Dogs are welcome to join their families on boat rides. Dogs must be kept on leads, and owners are required to ensure that their pets are well-behaved.
A la Ronde – Dogs welcome in the outdoor grounds of the National Trust property
Powderham Castle Estate – Dogs are welcome in most places on the property and on surrounding walks, except for the walled garden and deer park.
Bicton Park – Dogs are welcome in the park but must always be kept on leads. There is a dog-friendly restaurant in The Orangery. Dogs are not allowed in the children’s playground.
Go Ape – Haldon Forest is dog-friendly and offers a wide variety of fun and enrichment for all members of your family and dogs.
Canonteign Falls – Walks with beautiful waterfalls. Dogs on leads are welcome
The Bear Trail—Next door to Bear Town, you will find an activity suitable for children over 7 years old and dog-friendly, too.
Darts Farm Dogs are allowed outside trails, fields, and play areas. Only service/assistance dogs are permitted inside the farm shop.
Otterton Mill: Dogs are allowed outside areas, and dog-friendly cafés/restaurants and marquees are available. Only service/assistance dogs are permitted inside the farm shop.
Seaton Tramway and Jurassic Coast. Your four-legged babies can enjoy days out with you as a family on this vintage tram. Dogs can bring their well-behaved human companions onto the tram and sit on the ground level.
Footgolf on the Exe: Your furry companions are welcome to join you in this activity in their own designated dog-friendly areas.
Becky Falls: Dogs on leads can explore these stunning waterfalls and woodland trails on leads.
Eating out
We are fortunate in the area to have some lovely dog-friendly places where you can have a nice meal out as a family.
There is lovely dog-friendly Bay Leaf Cafe in Exmouth Town Centre that is perfect for a short break and an excellent snack for you and your dog.
If you are looking for a place that offers a lovely Cream Tea but is still dog-friendly, the Oak Barn Coffee Shop and Furnishings is the perfect place to visit.
A personal favourite with the family is The Queen Vic opposite the square in Exmouth town centre.
The Grove on the seafront is another lovely pub/restaurant to dine with your family and dog(s)
A short walk down the hill from the campsite, near the bridge, is The Clinton Arms
If you are looking for a family- and dog-friendly Carvery, a short drive to Lympstone will bring you to the fantastic The Saddlers pub/restaurant.
What if you don’t fancy any of the onsite takeaway opportunities?
Exmouth has a wide selection of takeaways to fit all your family’s needs, whether you want to snuggle up and have a quiet night in back at the caravan or grab something to eat on the seafront or beach.
**Takeaway deliveries must be met at the security gate. External deliveries are not permitted on site**
